The Tangem Ring is a hardware wallet you wear. Your private keys are generated and stored inside a certified secure element in the ring itself, and you sign transactions by tapping the ring against your phone. There is nothing to charge and nothing to plug in.

Backup and recovery

Your ring ships with two backup Tangem cards. During activation the wallet's private keys are distributed across the ring and both cards, so any one of them can restore access. Seed phrase generation and import are also supported if you prefer that method.

Common questions

How do I choose my size?
The ring comes in US sizes 6 to 13. If you are unsure, measure an existing ring that fits the finger you intend to wear it on, or visit our Bangkok store.

Does it need charging?
No. There is no battery. The ring draws power from your phone over NFC when you tap it.

What if I lose the ring?
The two backup cards in the box open the same wallet, so you retain access. Losing the ring and both cards means losing access, because only your devices can open the wallet.

Is it waterproof enough to shower or swim with?
It is IP69K rated against dust and water and made from zirconia ceramic, which resists scratches, water and extreme temperatures.

Is there a seed phrase?
Only if you want one. By default the ring and cards are the backup, protected by an access code you set. Seed phrase creation and import are both supported.

How is it different from the Tangem cards?
Identical technology in a wearable form. The Ring ships with two backup cards; the card sets are two or three cards.

Anyone who asks for your access code, your backup cards or your seed phrase is a scammer. No exceptions.

Neither SIAMBC nor Tangem will ever ask for them, whatever reason is given — warranty claims, identity verification, system updates or account recovery. Those are the keys to your funds. Whoever has them owns your crypto, and it can never be recovered.

Where will you keep your recovery phrase?

Tangem's default setup has no recovery phrase at all — your cards are the backup. But if you choose to create or import a seed phrase, those words become the one thing that can restore your wallet, and a note on paper is one house fire, one flood or one termite nest away from gone. Putting them into steel removes all three risks at once.
